Hands Across the Arts
Paint for Hope
Can you imagine a world that was only black and white? Colour is what makes us feel alive and what makes this life so beautiful.
Everyone deserves to see this way, including Cambodian children. Unfortunately, because of their country's history, they don't have that opportunity to study or to even express themselves creatively. Their families rely on them to help with work, which is often dangerous and exploitative. They have to grow up fast and miss out on a lot of great things that make them kids.
This is a Hands Across the World project in cooperation with artist, Gabriela Himstedt (http://www.colouryour.life/). If you want to learn how to paint, learn the techniques and help a child's life, all at the same time – this is your chance to make a colourful contribution.
This class is ideal for adults wanting to find or develop their creativity in painting. A feature painting will be chosen for the class to replicate with the experienced art teacher also painting alongside the students providing guidance. Learn how to mix colours and different painting techniques and have fun creating a masterpiece to take home.
Public parking is available across the street at Beatty Park Leisure Centre otherwise there is also paid parking along the street.
Learn or advance your painting skills with an experienced artist/teacher in this guided art class. Come and make this world brighter!
All proceeds will be used to support the cause of Hands Across the World.
A massive THANK YOU to the Phoenix Academy for their ongoing support!
